Norway Chess 2026
Norway Chess is one of the world’s most prestigious chess tournaments. Since it began in 2013, the event has drawn major players from international chess and has become a key platform celebrating strategy, excellence, and competition.

From Indian warmth to Nordic elegance — bonded by chess and coffee.
The rise of Norway Chess happened alongside Magnus Carlsen’s historic journey as World Chess Champion in 2013. This moment significantly boosted the popularity of chess in Norway and across the globe.
Over the years, Norway Chess has transformed into a widely celebrated sporting event featuring elite grandmasters from many countries. In 2024, the tournament expanded by introducing a Women’s Tournament, highlighting its commitment to inclusivity and global representation. Traditionally held in Stavanger, this year’s event moves to Oslo, marking another key milestone in the tournament’s journey.
Chess, Coffee & Tea: A Timeless Connection
For generations, chess has had a natural connection with coffee and tea culture. Players prepare for long matches over coffee, commentators analyze positions between rounds, and fans discuss games over tea. Beverages have always been part of the chess experience.
This philosophy aligns perfectly with CUPPANORD, a premium beverage brand inspired by Norwegian coffee traditions and crafted with an Indian touch. Known for its “Norwegian coffee recipe with an Indian heart,” the brand focuses on providing high-quality coffee and tea experiences for modern consumers and workplaces.
The collaboration between CUPPANORD and ChessWithLokesh blends strategy, culture, and passion. It brings together the worlds of chess and premium beverages through a shared love for focus, creativity, and connection.
